Renewing the Mind: Sitting in on an Interview with the Devil

Renewing the mind is key to conditioning ourselves to think differently. Thinking differently…seeing the world through the eyes of Christ is what Christianity is all about.We are not of this world, but yet we’re in the world. We are ambassadors for Christ. In Christ, we are to be governed by a higher authority than the land in which we find ourselves.

Have you ever thought about how your adversary, the devil thinks about you? Ephesians 6:11 tells us to “put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil”.

But what are the wiles of the devil? Some of the wiles of the devil are challenging God’s Word (Genesis 3), challenging our identity (Luke 4:1–13), and twisting and mis-quoting scripture among many others.

Renewing the Mind Anchors the Soul

Having been admonished to renew our minds to the God’s Word, have you ever wondered what happens to the Christian who neglects such a fundamental commandment? I recently came across an interesting podcast called “An Interview with the Devil“.

While at first I found this interview with the devil to be purely for entertainment, as I listened I began to see some profound biblical parallels in it.
