Characteristics of a Good Church: Racial Diversity In The Church
Racial diversity is rare within most churches. If a good meal is cooked, people will show up. Look at the popular restaurants in your town. People will drive far and wide for good food.
People don’t choose which restaurants they go to because of race. They choose restaurants because of the food. Because of the ambiance, or the wait staff or because of the overall experience. The same is true in the church. If the good Word of God is going forth people will come. People of all races will come.
I personally know of a couple that drove an hour and a half, 3 hours round trip and 165 for years to go to church. Why? Because the meal was good. The Word of God was going forth. Because the Word they were receiving every Sunday morning was good.
People will go to receive the Word of God. People of all races will travel to be ministered to. If you’re contemplating joining a church that is all Asian, all White, all Black, all Hispanic, ask yourself why this church is all of any one particular race of people. If the good Word of God is going forth, you will see racial diversity inside the church.
