The Power of God can be used as your spotter when you find yourself under life’s heavy weights. Anyone who has spent time in the gym knows that you need a spotter in order to maximize your workout. The purpose of the spotter is to monitor your individual lifts to make sure the weight you’re under doesn’t come crashing down on you. When you’re lifting and come to the end of your set, a good spotter will step in and lift the weight up off of you if you can’t lift it.
Spotter’s are there for your safety while at the same time, they assure that you get the most out of your workout. A good spotter will also encourage you as you lift the heavy weights by telling you “You can do it” or “come on…PUSH IT”.
The Power of God working with us to overcome life’s burdens can make all the difference in the world.
As you are on your last few repetitions and have exerted your last ounce of strength on lifting the bar, it’s comforting to know that you have a spotter that will step in and lift the bar off your chest when you don’t have the strength to.
The Power of God working with us to overcome life’s burdens can make all the difference in the world. Sometimes as Christian’s we find ourselves on a perpetual weight bench, continually trying to lift problem after problem off our chest. Ahh, but never fear! The Power of God is in the gym with you! Use the Power of God to help you get through life’s most grueling workouts.
God knows how much you can lift (even if you don’t), He will be there to encourage you and show you how to maximize your workout and if needed, He will step in and lift the bar off your chest if you can’t.
Trust the Power of God
Our responsibility is to trust the Power of God and to know that when we leave life’s gym, we will be fit enough to go out into the world and allow the same Power of God to work through us to help spot someone else who may be under life’s heavy weight.
1 Corinthians 10:13 – No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. NKJV
