Faith In Gods Word Causes Fear to Bow The Knee

Faith In Gods Word causes fear to cower, turn tail and flee in terror. Fear is no match for the informed believer who’s faith is firmly based in God and in His Word.

faith comes by hearing

What if we could eliminate fear from our lives? Imagine the freedom that would come with living such a fearless life. Our enemy, Satan rules and dominates the world primarily through fear. If you eliminate fear, doubt and unbelief from your life, he can’t be victorious over you.

The bible calls Satan a thief (John 10:10). Have you ever stopped to think about the mindset of a thief? The primary weapon of a criminal is fear, not his handgun. If you refuse to fear, you disarm the criminal. Satan thrives on fear the same as God moves when faith is present. Fear is the perverted version of faith. They both operate the same, just on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Faith In Gods Word Disarms The Enemy

Suppose a masked gunman burst into the shop where you are, shoved a gun in your face and yelled, “Gimmie all your money”.

Ok, let’s rationalize this request. The gunman wants my money. To get my money, all he would have to do is kill me. If he did that, then he could freely take my money, my jewelry, and any other possessions I may have without a struggle. And as an added bonus, he would eliminate at least one witness to the crime. Dead men can’t testify against you.

Good Criminal 101 dictates that this would be the fastest and most effective way of doing things. But for some reason, the thief wants me to participate in his endeavor by voluntarily giving him my money. In this scenario, fear is what he’s attempting to use as his form of forced compliance, not his weapon.

Your Fear Fuels The Enemy – Don’t Give It To Him

What if, at this very moment you looked at the robber without one ounce of fear, smiled and told him, I’m not going to give you my money, but I will give you something that’s much more valuable than my money. I’m going to tell you about Jesus, and how you can allow His peace to guard your heart and your mind. The same peace that I have right now.

And taking things a bit further, what if believers all over the world began to shun fear and operate in this type of peace. This is the peace of God which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6).

We’re Not Moved By Our Senses

The things of God don’t make sense. They make faith. Faith isn’t moved by what it sees, faith isn’t moved by what it feels, faith isn’t moved by what it understands. Faith is moved only by God’s Word.

A part of our salvation package includes God’s divine protection over our lives. If we allow fear to rule us, we will be robbed of part of the salvation package that Jesus came to give us. The words “fear not” or “do not be afraid” are woven throughout the scriptures too many times to be counted. Yet fear seems to rule and reign over the lives of many Christians.

I encourage you to take the necessary time to meditate on the scriptures regarding the power of God which resides on the inside of you. Study the bible and meditate on scriptures such as 1 John 4:4, “ye are of God little children and have overcome them because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world“.
