Faith of a Young Child Produces Results as a Young Man

Faith is simply believing with the heart, combined with words from the mouth, combined with actions that support your belief.

Faith is actually a very simple concept. The key to faith is taking the time to work on your heart. What comes out of the heart is what will determine what you will have in your life (Proverbs 4:23).

Once the seed of faith (for anything) is planted in the ground of your heart, that seed will germinate and produce after its own kind.

Faith Comes by Hearing

The way to get the seed planted firmly in the soil of our hearts is through hearing words. What you hear the most is what you will develop faith for.

There are tons of scriptures that talk about how what we believe in our hearts and speak with our mouths will affect our lives. The very foundation of Christianity is based on believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth

When the seed gets down into your heart, it’s easy to speak it. And when you start speaking it, you will begin to act as if your words are true whether they have actually come to pass yet or not.

Have you ever heard something about someone and began to believe it. You may have even repeated what you heard about the person to others.

And then, by some strange occurrence, you had the opportunity to meet the person only to find out that they were nothing like you thought they were?

Your faith for the type of person you thought they were came by what you heard about them (even though what you heard about the person was false).

There are tons of scriptures that talk about how what we believe in our hearts and speak with our mouths will affect our lives.

The very foundation of Christianity is based on believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth (Romans 10:9-10).

Below is a copy of a letter writing by a fourth grader who declared exactly what he was going to do in life. In the letter he said that he would attend a good college before ultimately playing professional football for either the Packers or the Niners.
