Answer: Because We Think We Can Solve Our Own Problems…

In most instances, the reason for cares and worries is because we think we can solve our own problems. And when we run into a situation that we can’t solve, cares and worries about the situation run rampant.

Once we realize how limited we are and acknowledge that there isn’t much we can do to change the life issues we face daily, it becomes easy to lay our cares and worries on God.

Keep only the cares and worries whose circumstances you have the ability to change

Take an inventory of your cares and worries. Of those cares and worries, figure out the ones you can change by continuing to carry the burden of them. You’re welcome to keep those.

Likewise, figure out the cares and worries in your life that you have absolutely no control over and give those cares and worries over to God and be willing to allow Him to work them out for you.

If you’re honest with yourself and you followed the above formula, you will see that carrying your cares and worries dosen’t solve your problems.

So I invite you to begin living a carefree life. Lay your burdens on God who is fully able to work out the cares and worries of your life in a way that’s best for you and for those whom you may be worrying about.

Trust God in all things and give Him the opportunity to reveal Himself to you right in the middle of your storms of life.

  1. Sometimes God let us have this trials not to punish us or to experience difficulty. It is to let us know that He remembers us and He is powerful that we cannot just do it alone but also with Him in our life.

    • Agreed. Without the opportunity to work out our faith, there would be no growth. We already know that greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. In Him we have victory, we simply have to go out and take back what the enemy may be trying to take from us. God allows our struggles, and smiles with the biggest smile when we come out victorious over our circumstances. Thanks so much for your comment.

  2. I am a wife and mother of 11 children, which explains why I had to learn early on to cast all my cares upon the Lord. One thing I also learned from a wise older woman was that the first four letters of the word TESTIMONY was TEST. So, in order for us to have testimonies, we must first endure and pass the test that foreshadows it. The trying of our faith worketh patience and patience is much needed in our daily roles, whatever they may be.

    • Thank you so much for sharing those words of wisdom and thank you for reminding me that there is no testimony without having to go through a test. Truer words have never been spoken…

  3. Well said Greg!
What we do with those "cares and worries" is a reflection of our faith. Do we really trust God and are we acknowledging Him in all our ways? When we truly put our trust in Him, those worries should be a put behind us. God wants the best for His children and any difficulties will benefit us in the end.(Romans 8:28). Thanks for sharing what God has laid on your heart my friend. May God continue to bless you and yours in all your endeavors!
