Love your wives even as Christ loved the church…
We are all familiar with the saying, “A Dog is Man’s Best Friend”. Along with the K-9 characteristics of loyalty, and dedication, dogs simply make us feel good. A dog will sit at the door or on the porch waiting for your arrival and as soon as he hears the distinct sound of your car approaching, he will hop to his feet in anticipation. Power vs Authority: JB was one of the sharpest recruits in my academy class. She was a great communicator, which is one of the most important tools to be equipped with as a Law Enforcement officer. JB stood approx. 5’2″ and weighed about 110 lbs. She graduated at the top of our class academically. After graduation, we both were assigned to a maximum security male jail facility. Forgive and Forget when people wrong you. Holding on to offenses only harms you, not them. To forgive and forget is a choice that we make. The choice to forgive and forget must be made on purpose. Words are powerful. Words are the containers we use to convey thoughts to one another. All through God’s Word we are warned not to unleash the monster in our mouths called the tongue. The bible tells us that death and life are in the power of our tongues (Proverbs 18:21). We need to grab hold of the fact that our words can have an overwhelming impact not only on our own circumstances but on each and every person around us.
Faith, when seen up close for the first time can look completely different than what we imagined it to look like. The image of real faith in action is what we need to dislodge our misconceptions of what faith is and shake us into the realization of what real, practical, biblical faith is. Fellowship time away from the hustle and bustle of life is priceless. Our family is at the California State Games in San Diego, CA this weekend. This is our 3rd day here. San Diego is a beautiful city. After we arrived on Thursday evening we went over to Coronado Island and spent some time on the beach at sunset. Coronado was voted the #1 beach in America this year. Gods Word is the guide to solving the problems that we have to deal with in life. Life is hard sometimes.
